houseof x Emma Gurner: Colour contrasts

We are beyond thrilled and grateful for the overwhelming support we've received leading up to this launch. Our waitlist has been filling up rapidly, thanks to the buzz generated from our press breakfast in April, sneak peeks on our socials, and our exhibit at Clerkenwell Design Week last month.

Now, the wait is over! We are so excited to present to you our latest creation: ‘Colour Contrasts.’ This mesmerising pleat and ribbed range comes in the beautiful colour combos of Moss Green and Pale Blue, as well as Burnt Orange and Pale Pink.

We are so excited to announce our latest collaboration with interior designer Emma Gurner. Emma’s designs are notable for her playful use of colour and incorporating modern style with hints of nostalgia. Alongside our bold colour palette and retro shapes; the collaboration feels a natural fit.

Contrasting colours collection

We have designed 6 different pieces for The Contrasting Colour Collection, this takes form in 2 ranges: The Pleat Range and The Ribbed Range. These include table lamps, ceiling lights, floor lamps and wall lights. The collection encompasses classic style with a modern twist, with beautiful warm colours, interesting shapes and textural elements. Contrasting colours are of the essence of these lights, with the pairing of moss green with pale blue and burnt orange with pale pink. The colour palettes, chosen by Emma, are striking on their own but warm enough to fit in with existing interior schemes. Both ranges stand out with their interesting material choices; by using steel and glass for the light shades, the designers have taken something that may have once felt quaint and old fashioned and given a sleek new twist.

The Pleat Range

The lamp shades in this range are made from painted steel and the exteriors are finished in either a burnt orange or moss green. The interiors have been painted in their corresponding contrasting shades, which gives a warming glow and is a subtle way to introduce more colour into a space.

The table lamp and floor lamp both have an adjustable tilting shade, so the light can be angled to your preferred direction.

The Pleat Floor Lamp, moss green and pale blue - £399
The Pleat Flush Ceiling/Wall Light, burnt orange and pale pink - £199
The Pleat Ceiling Pendant, burnt orange and pale pink - £329

The Ribbed Range

The lights in this range are made from ribbed glass, which feels elegant and airy, with painted steel detailing bringing in the signature colours of this collaboration.

The Ribbed Wall Light, moss green and pale blue - £199
